NASA Ames Exploration Center Ongoing Free Event

The NASA Ames Exploration Center allows visitors to experience NASA technology and missions firsthand. Located at Moffett Field, more than 150,000 people visit the NASA Exploration Center annually. Current exhibits include an Immersive Theater, which is a high-resolution theater with a 40-foot wide screen that shows panoramic views of Mars and Saturns rings as well as other intriguing movies with dazzling special effects. There is also the Mars Terrain Globe Mercury Redstone 1A MR-1A capsule and a Moon rock that was retrieved by the crew of Apollo 15 from the Hadley-Apennine region.

Gift Shop

The gift shop inside the Exploration Center sells a wide array of NASA and space related clothing patches posters videos and much more. All purchases made at the gift shop are exempt from tax.
