Become a part of history by partaking in the First Annual East Bay Food Fight! On Saturday, July 23, join others in a new event that features the developing East Bay dining scene. Jack London Square in Oakland will be bustling with food lovers and casual shoppers alike as attendees cheer on battling chefs, become inspired by fascinating culinary demos, and take in signature beverages and menu items from over 40 top restaurants in the area. There will be judged competitions, fun live entertainment, local music performances, a raffle, and a live auction with some great and valuable prizes.
There will be a plethora of different foods available, and with participants’ dedication to fresh, seasonal, local, and sustainable foods, coupled with a strong passion for creativity, the East Bay Food Fight is sure to become an important and delicious summer staple! If you’ve ever wondered about the different exciting food options in the area, this is the perfect event to get a taste of each. Some of the best local beer, wine, and cocktails will be served and there will also be numerous wineries present, with some of the big names including Rosenblum, Rock Wall, and Urban Legend.
Attendees will be able to chat up celebrity chefs, vote for on-stage chef battles, and take part in a unique live auction with some great items. Some of the items you can bid on are a private dinner with the Oakland Mayor, dinner for eight with the chef and owners of Bocanova, dinner for six at A Côté, gift certificates from 12 different restaurants for a year of fine dining, and more!
