Starting March 2, Cirque du Soleil comes to Silicon Valley with the touring production of TOTEM. The show will be put on for one month only under the Grand Chapiteau at Taylor Street Bridge in San Jose.
TOTEM follows the harrowing journey of the human species from the amphibian state to one with wings to fly. Through visual and acrobatic language, TOTEM illustrates the evolutionary progress of human beings. The show is a fusion of science and legend than explores the connection between humans and nature through dreams and infinite potential.
Robert Hurwitt of the San Francisco Chronicle calls TOTEM, “the most enjoyable new Cirque du Soleil show to come along in quite awhile.” Leslie Katz of the San Francisco Examiner agrees that “TOTEM is an exciting display of human strength, creativity, evolution and destiny.” San Jose’s own Karen D’Souza, writer for the San Jose Mercury News says, “TOTEM is an incredible show…One of the most magical Cirque du Soleil productions in years.”
