Google I/O is once again around the corner and this year, it will be back at the Shoreline Amphitheater. The Google I/O is an annual conference for developers that is held by Google. During the conference, there are showcases and in depth sessions that are focuses on building web, enterprise and mobile applications with Google as well as open sources such as Chrome, Android, Google Web Toolkit and more. This year, this three day event will be held May 17th through the 19th and the Quality Inn is ready to host some guests.
Last year, at the Google I/O 2016 event, Google announced major breakthrough in technologies such as its Daydream Virtual Reality platform and headset as well as the Home smart speaker among others. This year, while it is unsure what exactly will be revealed, techies speculate that Google may announce a new version of Android, updates to Chrome OS, new features in Google Assistant and maybe even a new Google phone. As the date gets closer, it is possible that more updates will be available while they save their latest inventions for the big reveal. Aside from seeing the latest technologies that Google has to offer, attending the I/O event allows you to get hands on learning and skills, hear technical talks and learn from on hand Google professionals who will share their insights. The Shoreline Amphitheater is an outdoor theater that is located in Mountain View. In recent years, the I/O has been held at the Moscone Center but due to growing numbers, the Shoreline Amphitheater was chosen for it’s larger capacity. The Shoreline Amphitheater can hold 22,500 guests, including 6,500 reserved seats and 16,000 general admission out on the lawn.
