Sunnyvale Baylands Park-Twin Creeks Sports Complex

The Sports Complex features 10 softball and baseball fields making it a popular destination for adult leagues as well as youth leagues. In addition to baseball fields, there are also multiple soccer fields as well. The complex is also the site of many events including a rugby tournament and a lacrosse tournament taking place this summer. In addition to the sports field, you and your family can also engage in other activities that are available at the sports complex.

 

Located on site you’ll find batting cages featuring slow pitch softball, fast pitch softball and fast pitch baseball machines. For the adults, there’s Pitchers Sports Bar where you can grab a drink and if you’re here with family, enjoy a meal together at Sluggers Restaurant. If your kids are looking for other activities, there is also a video arcade filled with fun games as well as a playground that also features a basketball court. Finally, there is a shaded barbecue area as well if you want to have a picnic outdoors.

 

The Twin Creeks Sports Complex is located right next to Baylands Park. Baylands Park features 70 acres of parkland that includes picnic areas, recreation and pathways to walk through. The park is open every day to the public and opens at 8am. From March through October this is an entry fee per car. A single car entry fee is $6.

You can also learn about the early history, the field’s namesake Rear Admiral William Moffett, the Army Air Corps, the WWI era, the USS Macon, the Fighter Attack Era, Navigation systems, NASA and entire area dedicated to the uniforms real soldiers wore. Stevens Creek hiking & Reservoir

The Stevens Creek County Park is a 1,063 acre park that is a popular destination for hiking and other outdoor activities including boating thanks to the 86 acre reservoir. A trip to the county park is a nice way to get out of the city and enjoy some outdoors and fresh air. While you can enjoy fishing, boating and other fun activities at the reservoir, the park also is a great place to go on a hike. Read on to learn more.

 

The Stevens Creek Tony Look Trail is a moderate trail that is a 6.1 mile loop. The hike offers a mix of ups and downs as you loop around and above the Stevens Creek Reservoir. The whole loop on average takes about 3.5 hours. The hike offers a variety of shaded and open air locations. In the shaded areas you’ll come across sycamore, big-leaf maple, cottonwood, and cercocarpus foliage. During the winter, you might also see some small waterfalls along the trail and if you hike during the spring, you’ll be greeted by wildflowers along the woods and grasslands. The trail is a combination of unpaved fire road and dirt paths. At the top of the lookout you’ll see great views of the reservoir. After the workout from the trail, stop by at one of the picnic areas and give yourself a break in the shade! If you’re looking for even more of a challenge, the Tony Look Trail will connect to the Coyote Ridge Trail. Here, a 200 foot ascent will take you to Fremont Older.

 

The Stevens Creek County Park is located at 11401 Stevens Canyon Road in Cupertino. The Lakeshore Picnic area offers six, shaded picnic areas, three of which are located right alongside Stevens Creek. All together, the park offers over 9 miles of hkes. In addition to hikes, you can also rent a horse and go on one of the horse friendly trails. Horses are available to rent at the Garrod Stables.

The Rengstorff House
